PLANET Technology introduces the latest outdoor wireless solution- the wireless LAN outdoor Dual Band AP, WAP-8000, that provides higher transmission speed, higher power, better performance but is designed in mini-size housing for outdoor wireless application. The WAP-8000 is not only compatible with IEEE802.11b/g, but also IEEE802.11a, the data rate up to 108 Mbps with Super A or Super G mode. With N-type antenna connector, it allows versatile antenna installations and multiple adjustable transmit output power controller, therefore, the WAP-8000 is quite suitable for widely open space applications. The WAP-8000 supports multiple operation modes: AP, AP Client, and Bridge to conveniently configure versatile solutions in a wide range of wireless scenarios. It also supports WISP mode so CPE users could easily connect to internet via WISP provider or connect to wired network. In security aspect, besides 64/128 WEP encryption, the WAP-8000 integrates WPA-PSK, WPA2 –PSK authority to secure and protect your wireless LAN. More advanced features in the WAP-8000 includes MAC/IP filter to help restrict illegal access to your local network, and disable SSID Broadcast to ensure complete network protection. Furthermore, SNMP management module enables the administrator to configure multiple access points from a single location. Via the web-based interface, the WAP-8000 is easily to be managed and configured. With IP 68 code housing design and widely industrial temperature range, the WAP-8000 could be installed in exposed locations under the rigorous weather conditions such as heavy rain or wind, freezing or burning hot environment. With the proprietary Power over Ethernet (PoE) design, the WAP-8000 can be easily installed in the areas where power outlets are not available.
